Apart from salaries there are
certain other questions arising out of
the unification scheme which might
appropriately be considered at the present
juncture. These are:-
(a) Retirement on the ground of
ill-health. The question of a dditions to
pensions in the case of officers who
retire on the ground of ill-health
(Colonial Administrative Service
unification scheme paragraph 109). I
enclose a memorandum marked E on the
subject. The scheme has been adopted in
FURTHER ACTION.
West Africa, but I do not wish to press
for its adoption in Hong Kong if you see
objections to it.
